Jason is a speaker, published author and business coach. Born and bred into the hospitality industry, he’s spent 30 years studying the art and science of successful bars and restaurants.
First establishing his hospitality consulting practice in 1997, Jason and his business became part of a global movement for the industry towards higher quality drinks and service professionalism. Over the next decade he worked with teams in the US and Mexico and authored The Modern Bartender in 2001. He also was one of the founding contributor to Australian Bartender Magazine and has contributed over over 150 articles for both this and other hospitality publications.
In 2007, he was recognized for his work by being awarded the “Outstanding Contribution to the Industry” award at the Australian Bar Awards and named one of the bar industry’s Top 50 people to watch.
In 2015 Jason relocated to the US and helped establish a national facilitation team for Barmetrix as part of a national consulting contract. His US client base includes some of the world’s most highly reputed bars, restaurants and groups including: Fontainebleau Resort Miami, Kimpton Hotels, The Dead Rabbit & Blacktail, 213 Group, Death & Co NYC, The One Group and a slew of other international bar and restaurant operations.
